Consumables
From 2014 the Observatory Shop is the only grocery store on the island and can supply guests and island visitors with food and drink items, subject to availability. We have a wide range of products including milk and Orkney cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, eggs, dried and canned food, cereals, confectionary, a range of frozen food:- meat, fish, vegetables, ice-cream etc., as well as toiletries and household items.
We can also supply many other items not regularly stocked, so if you have any particular needs please contact the Observatory on 01857 633200 in advance to place an order.
Merchandise
We also have branded NRBO clothing available, including polo shirts, t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts and the ever popular ‘hoodies’. These items can be ordered direct from observatory by phone with an additional £4.50 postage charge. You can also order via our online shop.
The shop also sells gifts with local connections, from cards, handmade ‘birdy’ bags and brooches, ‘woolly wally’ sheep toys made from North Ronaldsay wool, postcards and a range of other items.
